I lost my data

How to restore your health folder and what Ambar support can (and cannot) do.

Ambar cannot access your iCloud Private Database for your Apple ID. Recovery depends on the device, the same Apple Account, and if needed a .ambar backup.

Quick checklist

  1. Confirm the iPhone uses the same Apple ID as when the data existed.
  2. In Settings → Apple Account → iCloud, check that iCloud is available.
  3. In Ambar, turn on iCloud sync (Settings → iCloud Sync).
  4. On Home, use Restore from iCloud — or Settings → Help with my data.
  5. If it is still empty, generate diagnostics in the app and email suporte@webambar.app.

What the in-app diagnostics include

The ambar-support-diagnostics.json file only has technical status: app version, iCloud state, CloudKit zone, record counts, and migration flags. It does not include symptoms, exams, names, notes, or attachments.

.ambar files contain clinical data. Only send a .ambar if support asks and you are comfortable doing so.

What support cannot do

  • Open your private CloudKit folder in the Dashboard without your Apple ID
  • Pull remote data onto another device by themselves
  • Recover data that never synced to iCloud and has no .ambar backup
