Apple Health and the Health app
Permissions, optional integration and how it differs from Care Circle.
The Health app and Ambar have separate sharing mechanisms.
Optional integration
Ambar can integrate with the Health app (HealthKit) when you allow it in iOS settings. Without your authorization, Ambar does not access Health app data.
Permissions controlled by iOS
You choose category by category what Ambar can read or write. You can revoke permissions at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Ambar.
No automatic access to everything
Ambar does not automatically import your entire Health app history. Only data types you authorize can be used.
Apple Health Sharing
If you share data with family through Apple's Health app, that is independent of Ambar. Ambar does not automatically see the list of people you share with in the Health app.
Care Circle is different
Care Circle is an Ambar feature to keep data up to date between app users. It is not the same as Apple Health Sharing.
